Hotel De Bonte Wever offers 262 comfortable hotel rooms in Assen, the capital of the beautiful and vast province of Drenthe! In the hotel you can enjoy all facilities under one roof. You can also make free use of our wifi network and there is plenty of free parking space. There are also charging points (4) for electric cars (to be used with your own e-pass). Our hotel is completely non-smoking and accessible for disabled persons (all rooms are accessible by lift). Pets are unfortunately not allowed (with the exception of assistance dogs).
Our entertainment team organises many fun indoor and outdoor activities, such as: kids disco, workshops, arts and crafts programmes, treasure hunts, quizzes, bowling tournaments and much more. There are various electronic games at the end of the Café Street. This is also the place for borrowing equipment for table tennis, billiards, mini-golf, darts, etc. and boardgames.

Young or old, sporty or not; bowling is for everyone! You are welcome to use our six modern bowling lanes. Complete with light effects, digital scoring, children’s bumpers, glow in the dark and a cosy bar. You can reserve a lane at the bowling alley during your stay. Unfortunately, booking in advance is not possible.
180! Or rather play a game of billiards in the Café Street. Table tennis and jeu de boules are outdoor games. Game equipment can be collected at the entertainment square.
Besides leisure swimming, you are very welcome to join our aqua sports, lane swimming, fitness and group lessons at our fitness centre. The minimum age for fitness and group lessons is 16
years. For young people between the age of 12 and 15, use of the fitness centre is only permitted with adult supervision. In the fitness centre, it is compulsory to wear sports clothing, indoor sport shoes and to use a towel.
Of course you can simply enjoy a swim in the subtropical swimming paradise and sauna. But there’s much more to do besides the wave pool, rapids and the water slide. Why not swim some lengths in the 25 m pool (indoors or out)? The kids will have fun splashing around in the play pool. Visit the sauna and lounge area which is all about relaxation: a Finnish sauna, a Kelo wood sauna, infrared benches, a Turkish steam bath, foot baths and sensor showers. Good for the body and mind. By the end of the day, you’ll feel reborn! Besides leisure swimming, you are very welcome to join our aqua sports and track swimming, free of charge. (Aqua sports to be booked in advance during your stay).
The cosy Café Street in our complex offers atmospheric seating and several bars for a snack and a drink and to enjoy live music!
You can enjoy our mini-golf course. lubs and balls are available from the entertainment team/entertainment area.

De Bonte Wever has an enormous range of business options available, making us unique in the north of the Netherlands and beyond. We have a large and spacious conference, event and meeting centre (10 – 2000 people) with many facilities that can be used independently or in combination with our four-star hotel, catering options and/or our leisure facilities.
The bike shed in the car park can be opened with your hotel room card. This bike shed also has chargers for charging electric bikes. Its use is entirely at your own risk.

The information & reservation desk is located near the hotel reception and is open daily from 10.00 – 18.00 hours. Here you can ask all your questions, make a reservation for a bowling alley, pick up swimming tickets, book a group lesson in the fitness centre, rent bicycles and E-choppers or reserve a table in restaurant Dapper. You will also find all kinds of outings and tips for discovering the surroundings, cycle routes and a tourist information shop. Outside the opening hours of this desk, you can contact the hotel reception.
