Kitchen / Buffet Employee

From preparation to a well-stocked buffet

The first guests walk along the buffet. In the kitchen, dishes are being prepared and you help to get everything ready on time. A little later, you are in Restaurant Flinck, directing a guest and ensuring that the buffet looks neat and tidy.

As a kitchen / buffet employee at De Bonte Wever, you work both behind the scenes and among the guests. You assist your colleagues with the preparation and cooking of simple dishes. During the buffet moments, you maintain an overview, guide guests, and have an eye for the quality of what's being served.

This is what your work looks like: one place, endless variety between kitchen and buffet.

You help both the kitchen and the buffet move forward

Together with your colleagues, you ensure that everything is ready for the different meal times. You work quickly, see what is needed, and keep your workspace clean and tidy.

You are involved in:

  • supporting daily tasks in our kitchens;

  • assisting in the preparation of simple dishes;

  • guiding guests along the buffets in Restaurant Flinck;

  • checking the quality and care of the dishes;

  • keeping the kitchen and buffet clean and neat;

  • jumping in wherever your colleagues need your help.

Taking initiative, collaborating, and constantly learning

You enjoy working with food and helping guests. You actively take on your tasks and remain calm when it gets busy. You also enjoy collaborating: you consult with colleagues, learn from each other, and together ensure a good result.

In addition, we find it important that you:

  • are enthusiastic and motivated;

  • enjoy learning new things and exchanging experiences and ideas;

  • have an eye for the quality of dishes;

  • work neatly and carefully;

  • are flexibly available, including weekends and holidays;

  • maintain overview during busy moments.

Working at a place where a lot comes together

Hotel guests who join in, families coming together to eat, and colleagues preparing the next dishes. In the kitchen and buffet, a lot comes together. You contribute to ensuring that guests can enjoy their food and that everything runs smoothly.

Of course, there is something in return. You will receive:
