Meeting Room Assistant
You set up the room. And the tone.
The chairs are in place, the equipment is ready, and the first guests are coming in. You welcome them with a smile and show them the way. A little later, you provide the coffee, answer a question, and arrange an extra chair.
As a meeting room assistant at the Bonte Wever, you ensure our guests can focus on their meeting. From a small board meeting to a large conference: you assist with the preparation and are a reliable point of contact throughout the day.
You see what is needed, think along and take it on. Together with your colleagues, you ensure everything runs smoothly, from reception to the last drink.
From room setup to coffee break
No meeting is the same. Each group has different wishes and you help to execute them well. You are on the move a lot and switch between setting up rooms, providing catering, and assisting guests.
You are involved, among other things, with:
preparing and setting up meeting rooms according to our guests' wishes;
receiving guests and guiding them to the appropriate room;
providing coffee and tea breaks, lunches, and drinks;
setting up audiovisual equipment and assisting guests with its use;
supporting during meetings, gatherings, and events;
responding to questions and requests, even when they come at the last minute;
keeping the rooms tidy and neat;
noticing special features and independently solving minor issues;
clearing the rooms after completion.
Hospitable, practical and detail-oriented
You make contact easily and enjoy helping guests. A changed room setup or an additional request does not throw you off balance. You remain friendly, keep an overview, and look for a solution.
Furthermore, we find it important that you:
work neatly and have an eye for detail;
like to roll up your sleeves;
can work independently and enjoy working well with colleagues;
have a representative appearance;
are flexibly available, occasionally in the evening or weekend;
take responsibility for your work.
Experience in catering or hospitality is a nice addition, but not required. We find your enthusiasm and the desire to deliver good work at least as important.
Working in a place where many things come together
Hotel, hospitality, sports, relaxation, and events. At the Bonte Wever, it all comes together. Also in our meeting rooms: you host different groups, collaborate with colleagues from other departments, and help make every meeting run smoothly.
That of course comes with some benefits. You'll receive:
a varied role within an enthusiastic team;
a flexible number of hours, adjusted to your availability;
a salary of €14.99 gross per hour, according to job group III of the Horeca-CAO;
a travel allowance for travel distances of more than 20 kilometers, according to the applicable scheme;
free sports, including fitness and aqua sports;
free swimming;
discount on swimming lessons;
discounts for friends and family on the Bonte Wever's offerings;
staff discounts for events, outings, and offerings at the Bonte Brink;
possibilities for birth and parental leave;
participation in the bicycle leasing plan, depending on your contract;
participation in the Pension Fund Horeca and Catering;
group discounts on various insurances, including health insurance;
good, free parking for cars and bikes;
a little gift on your birthday;
fresh soup every day during lunch;
an active staff association: De Hunebedjes.
The meeting is over. The guests leave satisfied, and you prepare the room with your colleagues for the next group. A new setup, different wishes, and another day where your attention makes the difference.
