Service Staff Bistro Dapper

The tables are ready, and the first guests are arriving. You welcome them, take their order, and advise on a suitable drink. A little later, you serve the dishes and check if everyone is happy. As a service staff member at Bistro Dapper, the à-la-carte restaurant at the Bonte Wever in Assen, you ensure a pleasant night out. You pay attention to your guests, work with your colleagues, and see what is needed. From the first welcome to settling the bill: you help ensure every dinner goes smoothly. Are you looking for a permanent job or a side job? We will discuss the number of hours that suit you. You work around dinner. Your availability on weekends and holidays will be arranged in consultation.

You start by setting up the restaurant. During dinner, you switch between service, the bar, and welcoming guests. You engage in tasks including:

• preparing and setting up the restaurant;

• answering the phone and handling reservations;

• welcoming guests and guiding them to their table;

• taking orders;

• advising on dishes and drinks;

• preparing and serving drinks;

• serving dishes and clearing tables;

• preparing the bill and checking out with guests;

• keeping the restaurant neat and tidy.

You easily make contact and enjoy ensuring people have a great evening. You notice when a guest needs something and help your colleagues when it gets busy. Together, you ensure smooth service.

Furthermore, we find it important that you:

• are at least 18 years old;

• are motivated and eager to get started;

• are regularly available around dinner time;

• work well with colleagues;

• are willing to do something extra for your guests;

• maintain a friendly and hospitable attitude in the workplace.

Experience in hospitality or service is a plus.
